Writing: Integrated Curriculum Poetry and Prose Workshop
this three-day workshop, participants will learn how to integrate
the Picturing Writing process into their science and/or social studies
curriculum. Teachers should come with knowledge of their curriculum
themes and bring related visual and written resources if possible.
Common classroom themes will be used to walk teachers through the
process of creating crayon resist pictures and accompanying descriptive
passages, poetry, and research-based stories, all tied into their
science and/or social studies curriculum.
